Pup Proverbs

A New Year's salute to our furry friends

This time we thought it would be fun to ring in the New Year with some canine cheer. At a time when actions are reflected upon and long term resolutions are made, let's not forget to recognize all the happiness our hounds bring on a daily basis. Start 2007 off with a howl with the following pup proverbs.

The reason a dog has so many friends is that he wags his tail instead of his tongue. — Anonymous

A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself. — Josh Billings

We give dogs time we can spare, space we can spare and love we can spare. And in return, dogs give us their all. It’s the best deal man has ever made. — M. Acklam

If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous, he will not bite you; that is the principal difference between a dog and a man. — Mark Twain

Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole. — Roger Caras
